Two airports in Romania reopen
BUCHAREST: Two airports in western Romania reopened on Monday after being closed due to ash from the volcanic eruption on Iceland, the air traffic authority said.
"Timisoara and Arad airports have reopened as well as their airspace", Bogdan Donciu, director general of the Romanian air traffic services administration (Romatsa), told foreign news agency.
In the rest of the country, including in the capital Bucharest, no plane are allowed to land or take off until Monday 0900 GMT.Romania reopened its airspace on Sunday for transiting flights only.
